What a stunning wedding! Huge congrats to Sam and Taylor! This wedding what absolutely perfect, especially with my amazing second shooter Bri! Every detail was thoroughly thought through with love and intent, from the ruby red slippers worn by their 5 month old daughter to the letters written to one another before the ceremony. When Taylor was little, she would get a new pair of ruby red slippers every year and she would dance around in them everywhere she went! Carrying on the tradition, their daughter, Isla, got her first pair on their wedding day! The ceremony took place at the most gorgeous Church I have ever been to, The Church of Assumption in Saint Paul. What a beautiful, intricate, holy place of God. It does not stop there either; the court yard was gorgeously groomed as well! There were so many emotions flowing all over, everywhere (including me)!
The bridal party bus was taken to Raspberry Island in Saint Paul. I will be the first to admit, I have NEVER been there! OMG, I cannot believe I have never been to such and gorgeous place that is so close to home! Please go check it out! We had some fun and took some amazing portraits here on this beautiful, warm, sunny day! There were paths, Trees, Kayak rental area, gorgeous look out areas, and a beautiful covered patio with a curve shaped roof. There were dancers there and many enjoying the quiet scenery.
The reception was taken place in the family’s backyard with a beautiful Sailors. The trees were flowering and floating down gracefully in the wind. The smell of the petals put the reception in a completely different level of sweetness. Isn’t it funny how our senses can change the energy around us?! Every inch of the fence in their yard was covered in the most gorgeous decor. Pallets lined the fence with something different and sweet on each one. Each with a memory, photo, or something that unites Sam and Taylor. This family has always held a special place in my husband and I’s lives. We were honored to have spent our time here on this amazing uniting day! Sam and Taylor, we are so exciting to watch you flourish in your marriage! You have amazing mentors (your parents!) I highly recommend looking up Taylor’s parents, Will and Jodi Short, and their quest to bring every relationship from Ordinary to Extraordinary! This is so fitting! Congratulations Taylor and Sam!
