Backyard Engagement Session
[Season 1, Episode 2]
If you’ve been following the backyard series, you will be excited to know that Vanessa has found her soulmate! Dating all throughout High School, Vanessa and her Boyfriend Ken decided to take the plunge! Ken surprised her with a ring just a few days ago on the top of Ken’s brand new Barbie Doll box he came in! Although he was not able to get down on his knee he still made this a memorable event by filling the the top of the box with pink rose petals, champagne and a picnic!
Excited as they were, they wanted to get their photos done ASAP as their wedding is coming up VERY soon! I was honored and blown away that they picked me to shoot their session once again! Ken was pretty stiff throughout most of the session. He definitely had the “barbie doll” hands (as we photographers like to call it!) but we were able to find some great poses throughout the session despite how nervous he was!
It is so great that they took the leap and rented their outfits from Rent the Runway! They looked like a million bucks but much easier on the wallet! I mean, who DOESN’T want to look like a million bucks?! Professional hair and make up is typically encouraged so that this day is relaxing (yes it shows in your photos!!…AND you will look AMAZING!), but hers had been tatooed on! So cool!
