The Lake Elmo Park Reserve always has hidden gems just like this wetland we found in this family session! It is so true that when one goes that extra mile, is brave enough to endure a little bit of uncomfortableness, or in this case, go for that longer hike in hopes to find something beautiful, it really pays off as we found this BEAUTIFUL location!! We walked through sticker bushes, wet land, and cold weather to find a glorious opening with a gorgeous backdrop filled with birch trees and rolling hills, water with dreamy fall reflections, cotton plants, and beautiful tall grasses! This session reminded me of the truly “out-of-breath-hike” we went on in Taylor Falls up the bluff, because of the end result: the view!! Both of these views were spectacular and soul cleansing!
These children were the sweetest little things ever! They were so curious about the nature around them, learning about caterpillars, and having fun with cotton plants as well as the simplicity of just running freely through the dreamy fields! With children at such busy ages, these two parents were so calm, patient, and loved exploring with their kids! Their hearts were HUGE and made my heart warm as well! It is always said to surround yourselves with others who make you a better person! You guys are so amazing, and am honored to get to capture your amazing family!
I loved every minute of this session, from the exploring, to this family, to the beautiful nature that the universe has given us!
