This Extended Family Session in the bluffs of Taylors Falls was nothing short of magical! This amazingly intuitive family made sparks fly, held storms off, and created thick imaginative fog across the bluffs and over the river. My heart was fluttering and pumping hard with all of the amazing energy (maybe a little from the steep bluff we climbed?!) here at this given moment. It felt like my heart was being lifted out of my chest with happiness as we made the upward trek and inhaled the purity of the bluff’s air! This hike was DEFINITELY worth the sites seen, the energy felt and the breaths breathed! There were amazing climatic changes towards the end of the session! From hot and humid to a temperature (and humidity!) drop of about 20 degrees, the hairs on my arms stood up! The fog formed and the storms brewed. This was our cue to hop in our cars and call it a day! A glorious day!
I always love observing families and their interactions with each other as well as the their love for one another, but extended families are in their very own category! Watching “grown up” siblings interact is so different from family to family, some are goofy, some argue or ignore each other, but this family felt so close knit, almost as if their was a huge heart around them…holding them together. Throwing grandma and gramps in there can feel like being thrown a curve ball (haha) but again, felt so natural and loving all the way around! Even the beautiful dog fit right in!
Of course the youngest kiddos (6 and 10) were the cutest, most beautiful little humans with amazing and spicy personalities, whom I just wanted to give a little squeeze!!!
From a family of 4, family of 2 (plus a fur child), auntie, grams and gramps, this was ONE amazing family whom I will never forget! It was truly an honor to work with these amazing new aged-old souls!
